Condition
Overall in very good original condition. The glass surfaces present with a few shallow scratches consistent with age and gentle use. The glass with a few minute particles and air bubbles inherent to the material. The stoppers of the decanters are most probably original. The tray is probably not originally to the decanter set. The glass presents with wonderful internal gilt foil inclusions that add to the intricacy of the decoration. The gilded and enamel surfaces with traces of wear consistent with age and gentle use. Some of the wear to the enamel very likely intentional and inherent to the decoration. One of the glasses with a few very minute flecks along the upper rim, consistent with age and gentle use. The tray with very few minute flecks along the upper edge. A wonderful ensemble, that epitomizes Emile Gallé's deep poetic inspiration and his mastery of enameled glass.
