Condition

Overall very good original condition. The glass presents with a subtle blue hue. The glass surfaces with some minor surface scratches consistent with age and gentle use. The enamel and gilding with some traces of wear, consistent with age and gentle use and concentrated to the edges and upper rim of the cups. Six cups with minute chips to the bottom of the handle. The stopper is probably original. The decanter probably originally had a handle, as suggested by related examples and by a minor surface irregularity where the original handle would have been placed. A lovely set with charming decoration, emblematic of Galle's early glass production.
