Overall in very good condition. The wood surfaces present with a few very minor surface scratches, minor edge abrasions and minor discoloration, consistent with age and gentle use. The cane has been recently replaced with a material consistent with the original design. The patterning on the cane would have been executed in a simpler pattern in the original design. The cane is stable and in very good condition, ready for use. A deeply sculptural pair of chairs executed in a richly figured rosewood. This variant in rosewood is far rarer than the teak more often to appear on the auction market.
