Description
- German Lounge Chair
- wicker and brass
Provenance
Christie's London, May 13, 1998, lot 465
Condition
Overall in good condition. The color of the chair is a little more yellow and brighter when seen in person than it appears in the catalogue illustration. A few areas of discoloration, minor traces of wear and light surface dirt to the recessed areas, consistent with age and gentle use. In some areas, the wicker is a little loose and the wooden structure appears underneath, notably to the bottom of the proper left foot and to the middle of the proper right edge of the chair, visible on the catalogue illustration. The metal feet present with minor surface scratches, minor surface dirt and traces of oxidation consistent with age and gentle use. The structure of the chair is sound. A very dynamic design.
