the wrathful protector standing in fierce alidhasana within a fiery halo atop a lotus throne, trampling underfoot two supine figures, with three bloodshot eyes and flaming beard and eyebrows, wearing the five-pointed crown, the six bone ornaments, the garland of severed heads and a tiger skin around the waist, holding a vajra in the raised right hand and a pasha in the left hand in tarjani mudra, surrounded by Padmasambhava, Chakrasamvara, Shadbhuja Mahakala and Garuda, with a retinue of naga figures in the lower register, framed in a textile mount

Condition
Wear to pigments, rubbing, minor water staining and accretion overall. Areas of creasing along painting borders. With stupa detail at verso. 5" crease with loss to pigment at lower register. Framed in traditional textile mount.
