The print is in generally excellent condition. There are some diagonal indentations extending from the margin of the print into the image visible in raking light only. There is some retouching visible in raking light only. There are a few creases in the top margin of the print. The corners of the print have been bumped. There are hinging remnants on the reverse of the print. There are some small areas skinning on the reverse of the print. '53' is written in ink on the reverse. A studio label, printed with the sitter's name, is affixed to the reverse. The stamp reads 'PHOTOGRAPH BY FRANCESCO SCAVULLO' on the reverse.
