Depicting an elephant, decorated to the front with cabochon opals, sapphires and circular-cut rubies, marquise-shaped, baguette and circular-cut diamonds, to a fancy link chain, length approximately 790mm, French assay and maker's marks.

Condition

Elephant stamped with French assay marks for 18 carat gold to rear suspension loop. Total weight of elephant approximately 110 grams. Chain stamped with French assay marks for 18 carat gold to end link. Total weight of chain approximately 65 grams. Minor abrasions consistent with wear. Larger opal with blue green colour, minor abrasions with some crazing near base of opal. Smaller opal with blue green colour, minor abrasions to one side of opal. Sapphires dark blue. Diamonds bright and lively with mixed colours and clarities, total weight estimated approximately 7.00-9.00 carats.
