The oval micromosaic plaque depicting the profile of a seated spaniel, inset to a lapis lazuli base, framed by a border of cabochon opals.
Condition
Mounted in gold. Minor abrasions commensurate with age and wear. Later safety catch to the reverse. Fine hairline crack to reverse of lapis lazuli panel and some very small areas of tesserae deficient. Opals well matched blue green colour, three opals with some fine crazing.
