Comprising: a necklace of ribbon design, set with brilliant-cut and baguette diamonds, suspending pear-shaped ruby drops, length approximately 370mm, signed Schilling; a brooch, set with marquise-shaped, brilliant-cut and baguette diamonds and circular-cut rubies; and a pair of earrings, similarly set, hinged back fittings.
Condition
Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US; this piece may contain a ruby of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Certification of non-Burmese origin is required before the import of rubies into the US. Please see our Important Notices and contact the jewellery department for further information.
Accompanied by The Gem & Pearl Laboratory report no. 11182, 11183 and 11184 stating that samples of rubies in the necklace and earrings are of Burmese origin, with no indication of heating and two small rubies on the brooch are of Thai origin.
Necklace stamped 950 for platinum. Earrings stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Necklace and earrings signed Schilling. Rubies of purplish red, typical inclusions visible to the naked eye, some abrasion to facet edges. Total diamond weight approximately 18.00-22.00 carats, estimated colour G-I, estimated clarity VS-SI. Secure clasp, ear clips and pin fitting. Scratches to metal consistent with wear. In good condition.
