Sapphire, ruby, enamel and diamond brooch

Designed as a square set with calibré-cut rubies and sapphires, the claws applied with polychrome enamel, within an annular frame set with circular-cut diamonds.

Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US; this piece may contain a ruby of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Certification of non-Burmese origin is required before the import of rubies into the US. Please see our Important Notices and contact the jewellery department for further information. Rubies of light purplish red saturation, typical inclusions visible to the naked eye, some chipped and with surface reaching inclusions. Sapphires of medium to dark blue saturation, typical inclusions visible to the naked eye, some slight chips and surface reaching inclusions. Two of the small coloured polychrome enamel highlights are deficient. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 6.50-7.00 carats, estimated colour H-J, estimated clarity SI-I. Secure pin and clasp fitting. Scratches to metal consistent with wear. In good condition.
