The purse of gold mesh design, the openwork frame decorated with floral scrolls, highlighted to the clasp with cabochon sapphires, anchored by a chain of tassels terminated with seed pearls, and supported by a semi-flexible gold handle, opening to reveal an oval mirror, mounted in 14 karat yellow gold, signed A.W. & CO. and numbered 2343, gross weight approximately 130gms.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: In our opinion, the cabochon sapphire set in the knob is medium deep, strong blue colour, eye clean. Tiny seed pearls on tassel are round to naked eyes, cream white colour with very good lustre. Signed "A.W & Co" and numbered 2343. Gross weight 130 grams.
Condition: Slightly tarnish to the metal, particularly on the interior; and minor stains to the mirror, consistent to age and use. There is a tiny loop hole to the bottom and even smaller one close to the hinge area, both not noticeable and do not affect the overall visual appearance of the handbag. Overall, the handbag is in fair to good condition.
