The necklace composed of fourteen cultured pearls measuring approximately 8.43 to 8.40mm, connected by stylised gold links, length approximately 420mm; and a 'Tubogas' bangle, the sprung band terminating on a heart-shaped tourmaline and a peridot of similar shape, inner circumference approximately 150mm; mounted in 18 karat yellow gold, signed and numbered 1970 AL and 2337 AL respectively. Condition

Colour and Clarity: In our opinion, the cultured pearls on necklace are round to naked eyes, cream white colour with slight rosè overtone, very good surface lustre with minor to moderate surface blemishes which are not seen unless close check. Two heart-shaped tourmalines set on bangle are of medium deep olive green and purple-pink colour, eye clean. Under loupe check, there are only a few minor natural inclusions, mostly in the pink tourmaline and not seen to naked eyes. Both are signed. Condition: Karat yellow gold mounts, with signs of wear and surface scratches to the metal, overall both in good condition.
In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above. Since we are not professional conservators or restorers, we urge you to consult with a restorer or conservator of your choice who will be better able to provide a detailed, professional report. Prospective buyers should inspect each lot to satisfy themselves as to condition and must understand that any statement made by Sotheby's is merely a subjective qualified opinion. Illustrations in the catalogue may not be actual size. Prospective purchasers are reminded that, unless the catalogue description specifically states that a stone is natural, we have assumed that some form of treatment may have been used and that such treatment may not be permanent. Our presale estimates reflect this assumption.
