each of rectangular form, decorated in iron-red with European figures amongst landscapes with trees and shrubs, lacquered wood frame and wood stand

Condition

Inspected within their frames: Both screens with minor hairline cracks on the enamel surface, particularly evident on the screen depicting a sage carrying a boy. There are minor pinpricks and enamel wear. The lacquered wood frames with minor shrinkage, small chips to the corners and edges, minor dents and lacquer loss to the extremities. The stands probably later matched.
