Description

each of ovoid form, brightly decorated with distant figures and elaborate pavilions sheltered amongst trees and jagged rocks, set in a riverside landscape with sampan boats, all between shaped floral cartouches reserved on a trellis band, the neck with detached floral branches, surmounted by a similarly decorated domed cover

Condition

Both covers are broken and restored, with faint cracks visible under extensive overpainting and overspray. The vases are in good general condition with the exception of enamel flakes, shallow foot chips, surface wear and glaze firing imperfections.
