each body with deep rounded sides, finely painted around the exterior with figures from classical literature, the interior with a medallion enclosing a scholar at rest, the base with apocryphal Chenghua six-character mark in underglaze-blue

Condition

Both bowls are in good condition, with the exception of glaze firing imperfections such as firing cracks, burst glaze bubbles and iron spots. One bowl with a 0.3x0.3cm burst glaze bubble to the interior. The other bowl with short C-shaped firing cracks to the base, there is a minute foot chip.
