of flared form, painted with a main scene depicting a kneeling attendant presenting an official’s cap to a dignitary surrounded by soldiers in a mountainous landscape, all above a seated scholar accompanied by an attendant in a landscape with plantain, the foot encircled by pendent leaf lappets, incised with a floral scroll at the rim and a chevron band around the lower body

Condition

The beaker has restoration to chips and frits at the rim with a circa 8cm deep band of over-spray to half of the inside of the rim, minor glaze imperfections and light glaze scratches.
