the body of flattened pear shape rising from a short straight foot to a tall broad neck with indented corners and set with a pair of lug handles, moulded to the front and rear face with a large peach-shaped panel and covered overall in a rich streaky purplish-red and blue glaze, the base incised with the mark
Condition
The vase has a circa 13cm C-shaped hairline crack to the base, with shorter multi-directional side branches. There is a circular bump beneath this area. The foot has three shallow chips, the largest measuring 1x1.2cm. There are some minute glaze flakes and crackle overall, as characteristic of the type. Minor glaze firing imperfections and extensive scratches.
