Description

  • Porcelain
the deep rounded sides rising from a slightly tapered foot to an everted rim, painted in vibrant tones of underglaze-blue, with a medallion enclosing a single lotus spray to the interior, surrounded by undulating lotus scrolls, the rim encircled by a narrow band of demi lotus florets and curled lotus leaves, the decoration repeated on the exterior, inscribed to the base with a six-character reign-mark within a double-circle

Condition

There are two small cracks to the rim, one 5mm, the other 10mm, each with a very small area of associated restoration at the rim. There are some burst bubbles to the base and some minor scratches to the glaze to the interior.
