the rounded sides rising to a slightly everted rim, the interior painted with a pair of five-clawed dragons and a pair of phoenix amidst scrolling, leafy stems of peony, the design repeated in the well and on the exterior, all within double blue line borders, the underside inscribed with a six-character reign mark in underglaze-blue

Condition
This dish is in good general condition, but there is some fritting to the rim throughout, some with associated shallow chips. There is some minor rubbing to the iron-red enamel to one peony to the interior and 15mm glaze scratch below the rim by the head of a phoenix to one side.
