40 volumes, 8vo. Original manuscript leaf tipped in; two closed tears to leaf. Titles printed in red and black, frontispieces and numerous illustrations. Contemporary full black morocco gilt, stamp signed "G.P. Putnam's Sons" on morocco doublures, red suede pastedown and blanks, spine in six compartments with raised bands; very fine and unrubbed.
