Catalogue Note

Scarce map of the Holy Land, engraved by the brothers Johannes and Lucas van Deutecum. This map first appeared in Gerard de Jode's 'Speculum Orbis Terrarum', with this example from the second edition, the 'Speculum Orbis Terrae', which was published two years after Gerard's death by his widow and son Cornelis.
