  • Prières pour tous. Circa 1830. Autograph manuscript signed twice ("Victor Hugo") of a strophe of the poem with three sketches.
  • ink and paper
2 pages (7 3/4 x 5 7/8 in.; 199 x 125 mm) on a bifolium. First strophe of the eighth session of the poem "La Prière pour tous" [The prayer for all of us] (without the third and last verses) with two little sketches with the name of the artist Camille Roqueplan; larger drawing on the second page with the title "La prière de la jeune fille" [The prayer of the young girl], signed "Victor Hugo prière pour tous" and the name of the artist Elise Boulanger. Formerly folded, formerly framed, uniformerly browned, linenbacked, tiny holes from the acidic ink.

Project for an illustrated edition of Feuilles d'Automne [Autumn Leaves]. 

Delicate manuscript of a strophe of Hugo long poem Prayer for all of us that the poet illustrated with 2 sketches and a drawing. Underneath each drawing, Victor Hugo wrote the name of two women artists Camille Roqueplan (twice) and Elise Boulanger. 
If there is no record of this illustrated edition, the two artists later illustrated an edition of Notre-Dame-de-Paris in 1844.
