  • Kendal and Windermere Railway. Two letters re-printed from the Morning Post. Revised, with additions. Kendal: printed by R. Branthwaite and Son, n.d. [1845].

 12mo (165 x 100 mm). , Bound with twelve titles, later 19th-century half green morocco, with the complete contents lettered in gilt on the spine; title washed.

first edition, first issue. Contains three Wordsworth sonnets and a twenty-line poetic excerpt. The Kendal imprint appears to be much rarer than the London re-issue.  Three copies have appeared at auction over the last fifty years, all with the London imprint.

Ownership signature of Sir John Taylor Coleridge,  a nephew of Samuel Taylor Coleridge and a prominent jurist.
