Catalogue Note

RARE; THE PHILLIPPS COPY. Part of Wilkinson's voyage was in company with the female convict ship The Friends, bound for Botany Bay. A call at the Cape is described in chapters 5 and 6. A short account of Penang, as also of Singapore, is given, as well as a description of the capture of an officer of the East India Company's vessel Marquis of Ely by Chinese pirates. The return leg included a visit to St Helena.
