Catalogue Note

In the course of his travels Rees visited Muscat and Bushire, travelled up the Euphrates and Tigris to Bagdad and Babylon, traversed Persia and then returned to the Persian Gulf and visited Bahrain where ''we were the first English man of war which had ever been there'' (p.117).
