Catalogue Note
Sailing from Calcutta, by way of Singapore and Macao the author resided in Canton, a description of which comprises most of the first part; the second part describes South Africa. Although the work is attributed to Nicolas Polson on the title, it is in fact by Lieutenant Peter Nicholson (or Nicolson), and is rare.
