Catalogue Note
The work details Myers' enterprises in the northwest American fur trade. "The list of articles in demand on the northwest coast of America (pp.408-409), and his remarks for the benefit of any would-be trader there, are most interesting and useful" (Lada-Mocarski).
The work also covers various voyages to Australia and New Zealand, India and Japan, the coast of South America, with visits to the Hawaiian Islands, China, New South Wales, California, the Galápagos Islands and Staten Island.
Rare. Two hundred and thirteen subscribers are listed, of which over 100 are from Cork. The poor quality of the paper, the typeface and the printing suggest that the book was produced by a small provincial printer, very probably in Cork.
