Catalogue Note
The index has a smaller typeface than the text and bears the printer's name on the verso of the last leaf. It may have been printed slightly later and made available separately as it is not found in copies of the first issue in the original cloth, though it was incorporated in some issues of the work (noted as no.8 by Mendelssohn).
