Catalogue Note

RARE (not in Hill). Cooroo was an orphan taken under the wing of one of the crew of the Antelope, which was shipwrecked off the Pellew Islands, who had chosen to remain on the islands but who was subsequently killed by neighbouring islanders. See also lots 706-708.
