Henry Puckering and Charles Lee, three letters signed, to Colonel Robert Dodd, ordering him to mobilise his troops in Birmingham in response to the insurrection of the Fifth Monarchists and to secure "any Persons who either have been tampering in this late plott or ... intended to bee of it", the third letter ordering the arrest of two known sympathisers, with address panels, 4 pages, 4to, Warwick, 9-15 January 1661, with a related document signed by 10 members of the Council appointing Dodd a Lieutenant of the militia, 10 April 1660; James Harrison, autograph letter signed, to SAMUEL PEPYS, commending Captain Godfrey, London, 20 March 1659/60, docketed by Pepys, damp damage; Henry Puckering, autograph letter signed, "Dear Cosen", complaining of his exile, 1 page, 4to, Rouen, 9 August 1648, and an autograph letter signed by his wife Elizabeth, "Dear Madam", on her petition to the King, 1 page, 7 May 1657; Henry Jermyn, autograph letter signed, to Prince Rupert, assuring him of his faithfulness, 1 page, folio, integral address leaf, St Germain-en-Laye, August 1649, strengthened; Robert, Earl of Ailesbury, document signed, ordering a form of coronet for the funeral of Prince Rupert, with coloured sketch of the coronet in the margin, 2 pages, folio, 6 December 1682, with a contemporary abstract of Prince Rupert's life, 4 pages, folio, c.1682, incomplete; Sir Roger Twysden, autograph letter signed, to Johannnes Hynd, 1 page, 4to, integral address leaf, 10 February 1634; William Le Neve, letter signed, on the advance of the Scots into England during the Bishops' War, 1 page, folio, 22 September 1640; altogether 12 items, 1634-82, plus transcripts and related material
