Catalogue Note

A fine group of the former Poet Laureate's first book and first appearance in book form. The first title is inscribed with a poem ("Poet, sink the shining net | In ebb + flow. | Only there thy spoil is met | Where all tides go.") on the front free endpaper and, later, on the title-page inscribed for William Targ. It includes the bookplate of Frederic Prokosch.
