Catalogue Note
The illustrator Portia Rosenberg provided the illustrations for the first edition of Clarke's bestselling Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, published by Bloomsbury in 2004. The illustrations offered here, depict the characters named in the title are reproduced on pages 207 and 1 respectively. The novel has recently been adapted for a seven-part BBC TV series.
