square, diagonal engine-turning, in a leather slip cover, 8.5cm., 3 3/8 in ; and a 9ct gold lighter, Saunders, Shepherd & Co Ltd, London, 1933, in a paper case, 3.2cm., 1 1/4 in. high; a Christian Dior gold notebook, chequered engine-turning, stamped: Made in Germany for Christian Dior, 8.5cm., 3 3/8 in.; a gold-mounted leather notebook, early 20th century, French import mark, and another gilt-metal and enamel example, imitating tortoiseshell, 8cm., 3 1/8 in.
