- Two French enamel snuff boxes with silver-gilt mounts
- SILVER, ENAMEL
the first, cartouche form, decorated in raised gilding on a turquoise ground with a shepherd piper, the silver sides chased with landscapes, maker's mark rubbed, charge and discharge marks of Hubert Louvet, Paris, 1737/8, 7.5 cm., 3 in.; the other rectangular with raised gilt and translucent green trellis on a white ground, circa 1750, later silver-gilt mounts, apparently unmarked, 8.2 cm., 3 1/4 in.

Condition
First good condition, slight wear on base. Secondwith cracking and restoration on lid; needs professional cleaning.
