with fluted body, scroll and mask shaped rim, gadrooned pedestal foot, contemporary cartouche with later monogramm AR

Provenance

The initials AR are those of Archibald Primrose (1847-1929), 5th Earl of Rosebery. The bowl was a gift to Mary, Duchess of Roxburghe on her wedding day, 24 October 1935 by the 6th Earl of Rosebery.

Condition

Clear Hallmarks, rim with small cracks and repairs, probable repair at junction between foot and body.
