  • one 218cm. high, 142cm. wide, 50.5cm. deep; 7ft. 2in., 4ft. 8in., 1ft. 8in. the other 215.5cm. high, 153.5cm. wide, 57.5cm. deep; 7ft. 1¾in., 5ft. ½in., 1ft. 10¾in.
each with a cornice above a pair of doors, one enclosing hanging space above two dummy drawers, the other with three sliding shelves to the top above two deep drawers, variation in size between each cupboard

Crewe House, London, Inventory, Vol. 1, 1913, p.172, (one possibly) in Lady Crewe's Dressing Room; A 4ft 6" Old English mahog. Gents Wardrobe filled 3 sliding trays & ecl. by panld. folding doors & 2 long drawers under, brass drop handles locks & 1 key, cornice & plinth;

West Horsley Place, Surrey, Inventory, 1938, Vol. 2, p.142, (one possibly) in the Weston Bedroom; A 5” antique mahogany Gents. Wardrober converted to Hanging, with dentil and fluted cornice, 2 panelled doors, 1 false drawer and 1 drawer below, brass handles. £33. 

Condition

In country house condition. Nice to have a near pair. Generally in good order although with old marks and scratches and losses.
