Grand Master’s set of insignia, comprising Grand Master’s sash badge in gold, enamels and small diamonds, by AP and breast star, in silver, with gold motto and gold and enamel centre, with gold brooch-pin, by West & Son, Dublin, along with a commemorative certificate
Provenance
Robert Crewe-Milnes, 2nd Baron Houghton, later 1st Marquess of Crewe (1858-1945) invested as Grand Master of the Order, 22 August 1892.
Condition
With original neck riband, in case of issue [lid missing] and distressed. Centre loose on the breast star, and one of the three applied crowns lacking. The sash badge with bruised green enamel to the shamrock. Super quality. An interesting and rare group.
