- enamel, gilt bronze
- 10 cm., 4 in. high
each rectangular, painted with Flemish tavern subjects, the frames, probably English, cast with oak leaves and acorns below an acorn cluster
Condition
Frames have some wear on reverse and would benefit from professional cleaning.

The frames are reminiscent of the patriotic British oakl and acorn borders on gold boxes by A.J. Strachan produced in the first part of the 19th century.
