Condition

Firing crack across bridge of Louis XIV's nose. Both busts a bit dirty. The nut which secures the socle to the plinth base is lacking on the Henry IV bust. Minor wear to gilding to both. Louis XIV with nick to one front corner of plinth.

Catalogue Note

The BA monogram belongs to Alexandre Brachard, recorded as a sculptor and repairer at the Sèvres factory between 1784-92, 1795-99 and 1802-27. The monogram Mas was used by Jean Mascret, sculptor and repairer at the factory (active 1810-48).
