Illustration is quite accurate. Very interesting lot as almost unique. Very rare to find a Louis XV fender. Good design, fine chasing. Gilding is good. Expected wear and marks overall. Some oxidations and vert de gris traces. Will benefit from a soft cleaning. Overall condition is good. To recommend.

Le foyer de la cheminée est orné de chenets, d'ustensiles divers, pelle, pincettes, parfois de garde-feux et beaucoup plus rarement au milieu du XVIIIe siècle d'une barre de foyer. Ce n'est que dans la seconde moitié du siècle et surtout à partir du début du XIXe siècle que vont apparaître dans la décoration intérieure ce type d'éléments. Cette barre de foyer ajourée, de forme mouvementée, reprend le répertoire rocaille traditionnel avec coquilles et rinceaux d'acanthe.
