Catalogue Note
The present lot is an excellent example of the high quality English watchmakers were producing before the First World War. The dial demonstrates continued creativity and the ability to produce attractive designs. The movement was supplied by Nicole Nielsen & Co and based on an ebauche supplied by Joseph Preston & Sons, Prescot, Lancashire. Nicole Nielsen was closely associated with Frodsham’s during the first part of the 20th Century.
