1) Pastel and watercolor on paper, image of a pueblo on a mesa, which won an award of merit at the Los Angeles County Fair, with labels; 2) Happy Birthday Beverly Hills, mixed media on board, with silver seal, label; You're Only 50! Beverly Hills, mixed media on board, with label on verso; 4) pastel and watercolor on paper of Eskimo with label on verso, signed Sam in black ink; accompanied by a 1961-1962 first grade report card, mostly 'S' for satisfactory; 6 pieces total

This group of Sam Simon childhood artwork demonstrates his early love of art and talent. They are all from the third grade at the Hawthorne School in Beverly Hills. The report cards reads, "Sam progressed steadily throughout the school year. He reads well, and of course his art work is delightful."
