In this season four episode, Homer enters Lisa in the "Little Miss Springfield" pageant that is sponsored by Laramie Cigarettes after she is ridiculed at the school fair. When Lisa is crowned Little Miss Springfield, she uses her position to educate the public on the dangers of smoking, as well as uncovering Mayor Quimby's corruption. Both Laramie and Quimby's officials try to find ways to silence Lisa.
