"The Undersigned Hereby Agree To Amend the Agreement Among Them  By Making the Following Addition To Paragraph 10 of Said Agreement, 'Nothing contained herein shall be construed to require Patterson to engage in any further bouts with Liston should Patterson defeat Liston.' signed in ink by both boxers, plus two other signatures, with Championship Sports Inc. seal

This document was added to the agreement as the practice of forcing the lesser boxer to agree to a rematch under the other boxer's terms was outlawed. Liston got the best end of the deal, as he scored a knockout in the first round.
