'King Knixon' political cartoon artwork by Paul Conrad, 1972

This cartoon can be seen hanging on the wall behind Simon in one of the Taxi newspaper clippings in Lot 9.

During his five decade career spanning eleven presidential administrations, PaulConrad won three Pulitzer Prizes for editorial cartooning. He is best known for his work as the chief editorial cartoonist for the Los Angeles Times under the direction of publisher Otis Chandler.
