Description

  • Joan Colom
  • 'El Raval'
gelatin silver print, ferrotyped, flush-mounted, signed, titled, dated, and annotated in pencil on the reverse of the mount, 1958

Condition

This ferrotyped gelatin silver print is in generally very good condition. It is trimmed to the image and exhibits wear consistent with handling. As is typical of ferrotyped prints, in raking light, an unevenness of the glossy surface, occasional pitting, and surface scratches are visible. Also visible in raking light are scattered deposits of original retouching. The upper right and lower left corners of the image are creased, but these do not appear to break the emulsion. The print is lifting slightly from the mount at the lower right corner. On the reverse of the mount, the following is annotated in pencil: 'Neg 0/98.'
