Literature

Noritsugu Oda, Danish Chairs, San Francisco, 1999, p. 110

Condition

Overall in good condition. The wood surfaces with a few minor surface scratches, light discoloration and a few minute abrasions consistent with age and gentle use. One minor stabilized crack along the front proper left edge of the seat, visible in the catalogue illustration and that does not affect the stability of the chair. The caning is in very good condition with minor surface dirt to the recessed areas. The proper right edge of the backrest with a minor break to the caning at mid-height and another minor break along the proper left edge of the seat, both stable and not at all visually distracting. This chair was often displayed by Wegner folded and hung on the wall. A wonderful deeply sculptural work with wonderful intricate and subtle detailing to the frame. ---
