gelatin silver print, 1935
Literature
Edward Quigley: American Modernist (New York, 1991), cat. no. 111, p. 89
Condition
This early gelatin silver print, on double-weight semi-glossy paper, is in generally very good condition. The print is trimmed to the image, and there is some chipping with attendant losses of emulsion at the edges and corners. The lower left corner is creased, but this does not appear to break the emulsion.
On the reverse, '[53]' is annotated in an unidentified hand in pencil. There are a few tiny rust-colored deposits on the reverse.
When examined under ultraviolet light, this print does not appear to fluoresce.
