Description

of upright square section with the panelled top supported on an apron, each side finely mounted with stained ‘spotted’ bamboo inlays save for a horizontal rectangular opening, all raised on four corner legs similarly decorated and joined together by a square stretcher, the hardwood of a deep chocolate brown tone

Condition

The overall condition is very good. The central table top has a narrow strip of refill, and the frame appears to have been tightened. The sides and the joints between the apron and the top of the legs have been reinforced. The spotted bamboo inlays have been generally well preserved except for several re-glued pieces and some minor occasional flakes.
