the compressed globular body applied with closely spaced slightly slanted vertical lines, unctuously covered in a glossy brownish-black glaze with russet streaks thinning to beige at the ribs, falling short of the lower body and slightly splayed foot to reveal the buff-coloured stoneware body, the interior with a thin layer of brown glaze
